Battery Transfer Cart for Reel Handling: A Port Customized Transfer Solution Implementation Story
This battery transfer cart, specifically designed for ports, is designed to carry 5-ton and 3-ton charging reels. It charges ships via a "reel-to-ship" charging mode, placing stringent demands on equipment stability in this unique environment.
The project communication phase was fraught with challenges: the client required real-time monitoring of vehicle speed and equipment status, automatic reel deployment and retraction with speed control linkage, and integration of vehicle and reel operations into a single remote control. Due to the narrow vehicle body and wind resistance, the platform was specially designed with a recessed shape to lower the center of gravity.
Combined with tight deadlines, the technical team efficiently integrated the mechanical structure and intelligent control system to ensure the equipment met specifications on time.
Currently, the battery transfer cart has arrived at the reel manufacturer's warehouse and is undergoing reel assembly. Once completed, it will be shipped to a port in the Netherlands for deployment.
