Electric Transfer Cart for Handling Stone: A Case Study of Customized Electric Transfer Carts for a Brazilian Marble Company

This case study features one of our clients in Brazil, a marble slab processing company. Due to limited workshop space and the need for specialized tooling to safely transport marble slabs, the company selected two custom-made electric transfer carts after evaluating various material handling solutions on the market. As a high-end marble processing enterprise, they have extremely high requirements for the flexibility and safety of material handling. Traditional forklifts could not meet their needs due to spatial constraints and insufficient tooling compatibility; meanwhile, ordinary transfer vehicles lacked dedicated securing mechanisms for marble slabs, making them susceptible to bumps and damage during transport.

The custom-designed electric transfer carts are equipped with a specially engineered tooling rack that precisely matches the dimensions of the marble slabs, ensuring the slabs remain stable without shifting during movement. The carts utilize differential steering technology, enabling 360-degree flexible turning and perfectly adapting to the narrow operating environment of the workshop. Following a 25-day manufacturing cycle, the equipment was successfully delivered to the client's facility.

After being put into operation, the two electric transfer carts—supported by customized safety tooling and flexible differential steering—have fully resolved the client’s challenges in transporting marble slabs. Compared with conventional equipment, these carts offer exceptional adaptability and superior maneuverability in confined spaces, greatly improving the efficiency of slab circulation within the workshop and providing strong support for the client’s high-end marble processing operations.
