Simply put, it is an upgraded version of the standard DWP series transfer cart equipped with an integrated hydraulic lifting mechanism. This design enables the cart to perform both horizontal transportation and vertical height adjustment. It effectively solves common on-site issues, including height docking between different workstations and cross-workshop handling of heavy palletized equipment, making it one of the most widely adopted logistics solutions for modern factory workshops.
Hydraulic lifting transfer carts are mainly divided into two types based on their operating modes: rail-type lifting transfer carts and trackless rubber-tyred lifting transfer carts.
Rail-mounted lifting transfer cart: Requires on-site rail installation and runs on fixed routes. It delivers strong load-bearing capacity, with customizable load ranges from 5 tons up to 1,000 tons, ideal for heavy-duty fixed-point transportation.
Trackless rubber-tyred lifting transfer cart: Adopts solid polyurethane or rubber wheels with no rail laying required. It supports flexible steering, in-place rotation and lateral movement in certain models. The cart moves freely along workshop aisles without damaging the original floor, eliminating the need for factory renovation.
Core Differences From Standard DWP Transfer Carts
Conventional trackless transfer carts only support basic horizontal movements: forward, reverse and turning. Any vertical height adjustment or height docking work must rely on forklifts or overhead cranes. In contrast, hydraulic lifting transfer carts come with a self-contained lifting platform. Operators can complete precise height docking simply by pressing a button, eliminating the need for auxiliary handling equipment.

Lithium battery / Battery power (trackless rubber-tyred models): Supports 6–8 hours of continuous operation per full charge with no external power cables required. Suitable for both indoor and outdoor scenarios, especially for cross-workshop mold transportation. It is the preferred option for small and medium-sized processing factories.
36V low-voltage rail power (heavy-duty rail models): Covers load weights from 1 ton to 300 tons. It adopts safe low-voltage rail conduction for uninterrupted power supply and 24-hour non-stop operation, perfectly matching high-frequency, mass production scenarios such as steel mills and foundries.
Cable reel power: The cart automatically retracts and releases cables during operation. It features low cost and stable performance, suitable for short-distance and fixed-route workshop transportation.
Trailing cable power: Powered by track-laid trailing cables, it adapts to long-distance transportation and is widely used for supporting assembly line operations in large heavy-industry factories.
Applicable Environments: Designed for workshops with flat and hardened concrete or epoxy floors. It operates stably within a temperature range of -20°C to 60°C. Custom explosion-proof models are available for fine chemical plants, and high-temperature resistant versions support use in hot rolling mills and foundries.
Rubber-tyred models can work normally on floors with slight oil residue or dust, but are not suitable for long-term use in heavily waterlogged areas or strongly corrosive acid environments.
Case 1: Mold Processing Factory
A mold processing plant needed to transfer 30-ton injection molds from the warehouse to CNC machine tools, with a 75 cm height difference between the machine bed and the ground. The factory adopted our trackless hydraulic lifting transfer cart. After arriving at the workstation, the cart’s platform lifts vertically to a precise height, allowing workers to slide the mold into the machine easily. The entire process only needs one operator with a remote control and takes just 3 minutes, compared with the traditional method that required three workers and a forklift for over 15 minutes.
Case 2: Cold-Rolled Steel Workshop
A cold-rolled steel workshop faced inconsistent heights between production lines, storage areas and truck loading platforms during steel coil transportation. The factory deployed rail-mounted lifting transfer carts for fixed-point shuttle transportation. The integrated lifting and leveling function enables direct loading and unloading, effectively avoiding coil surface dents, scratches and structural damage caused by height mismatches.
Case 3: Pressure Vessel Manufacturing Plant
A pressure vessel factory needed to transport large tank workpieces across workshops. The trackless lifting transfer cart achieves flexible cross-workshop movement and precise docking with welding assembly lines, breaking the space and operational limitations of traditional overhead cranes.
If your factory involves high-frequency handling of heavy loads above 5 tons and regular cross-workshop material transportation, the hydraulic lifting transfer cart is a highly cost-effective and essential upgrade for your workshop logistics system.
