Railway Transfer Cart 

The Railway Transfer Cart is a product in the DPX series, designed primarily for operation on rail systems. This product is compatible with a wide range of track configurations, including S-shaped, L-shaped, and straight-line layouts. Its power supply typically relies on either lead-acid or lithium-ion batteries. These batteries provide direct current (DC) to the motor, which drives the wheels and propels the cart.

Selection of Batteries for the Railway Transfer Cart

Battery capacity is selected based on the operating environment, the cart’s load capacity, and the user’s specific requirements for operating range (endurance). In industrial applications, battery capacities can range from several dozen amp-hours (Ah) to several hundred Ah. With the current maturity of battery technology, users do not need to worry about operating range or endurance issues. When selecting battery capacity, you only need to determine the required daily operating distance of the cart. By providing this information to the supplier, they can select the most suitable battery capacity to meet your specific needs.

The DPX series supports various rail types, including P24, P38, P40, P50, P60, and others. The specific rail type is determined by the required load capacity. The wheels of the Railway Transfer Cart are designed to be compatible with all of these rail types. In practice, the rail type has minimal impact on the cart’s performance. In fact, some clients even use square steel bars as an alternative to standard rail systems.

When designing the wheels, the most critical parameter we focus on is the “inner rail distance,” which refers to the precise spacing between the two rails, as illustrated in the diagram below.
