20T Steel Coil Rail Transfer Cart

This is a steel coil transfer cart with a 20-ton load capacity, mainly designed to transport steel coils, heavy rebar coils, and other cylindrical equipment.

It uses a cable chain power supply system, with the cable chain installed in the center of the track to supply power to the cart. Since the track is only 20 meters long, a cable chain system is an ideal choice. It is cost-effective and provides excellent value for money.

Why does it have V-shaped supports?

The V-shaped coil supports are essential for this application. They are designed according to the shape and different diameters of the steel coils. The supports help secure the coils in place and prevent them from shifting or rolling during transportation.

The dimensions of the V-shaped supports, including their width, are determined by the diameter, weight, and width of the coils. This allows us to customize the support structure according to the customer's actual requirements.

Why did the client choose a rail-mounted steel coil transfer cart?

Although the client initially considered a trackless cart, we recommended a rail-mounted model after analyzing the transportation route and actual requirements:

1. Trackless carts offer greater flexibility in terms of movement, but around 90% of the client's coil transportation follows a fixed route, so there is little need for high maneuverability. In addition, trackless carts are more expensive than rail-mounted models.

2. Around 90% of the daily coil transportation involves straight-line movement over a distance of approximately 20 meters. This makes a rail-mounted cart an ideal solution for fixed Point-A-to-Point-B transportation.

3. Rail-mounted coil transfer carts are easy to maintain and have a failure rate of less than 1%.

4. Since the transportation route is fixed and only 20 meters long, a cable-powered system is the most suitable option, which helps reduce the overall cost even further.
